The Goldfinch Cabin
The Goldfinch Cabin (named for an abundance of the brightly feathered birds that call Turtle Brook home) is slightly larger than its neighbor and shares many of its attributes. Its signature feature is a large, rustic front porch overlooking the intimate Turtle Brook valley and Cobbler Mountain.
The many hiking trails and old logging roads on Cobbler are easily accessible from the cabin's back door and include access to the national forest for both hikers and riders. Or take an easy walk along the property's babbling brook or enjoy a picnic lunch at Dragonfly Pond, which is nestled in Cobbler Mountain's foothill a short walk from the cabin.
Family friendly cabin accommodations include a queen bed in a main bedroom and a full futon in the living area. Guests can enjoy complimentary coffee and tea from either of the cabin's two covered porches.
Plenty of outdoor seating and a hammock invite guests to relax in the sunshine while listening to the farm's horses munching grass in a nearby paddock. Reading materials are available in the cabin, or partake in a good-natured game of horse shoes.
Guests can enjoy a homecooked meal prepared in the complete kitchen or opt for grilled cuisine on the outdoor grill.
After dinner, take in the immensity of the star-filled sky while enjoying s'mores around your campfire (wood is provided).
Well-behaved dogs are welcome. While WIFI is not available at the cabin, it is available for limited use at the host's nearby farmhouse.
